To me, Jack looked like a camping cat and during his first trip to the camp it took just 2 walks to get him used to the harness.

He discovered  the freedom to explore around to the end of his long leash, and was content to flop in the grass, nap and listen for mice under the blueberry bushes.

He sits confidently beside the dog when I offer fresh cooked liver bites and chicken giblets plus the broth mixed in his food and has claimed a bed under the desk made out of an unused suitcase with a pet comforter and pillows in it.

When he’s not looking I’ve watched him and realized that he is very good at non-verbal communication, I swear he smiles and then I smile.

I’ve won him over and he greets me every day when I come home from work and have to scratch him behind both ears exactly the way he likes it……forever
