In need of a buddy I adopted “Bear” from the TDHS in March of 2012. I saw his picture on line and when I went to visit with him he was the only dog not barking in the kennels. I instantly took a liking to his friendly playful nature and when I was told he was to be moved the following day due to a lack of space it was an easy decision to adopt him on the spot. The first few days were a tough adjustment for him after a couple moves in a short time and surgery on his manhood but he settled in very quickly and was always well behaved. He’s completely at home now, spending days in the yard, sleeping beside me at night and going for walks every chance we get. For such a young dog he’s extremely well behaved and eager to please, learning quickly and constantly making me laugh. There isn’t much that doesn’t make his tail wag, he loves playing w/ other dogs, children and being chased around the yard. He recently learned about raspberry’s eating them off the bush while I picked and is starting to swim w/ more confidence. He’s an amazing companion and I’m indebted to TDHS for the introduction.
