A more handsome dog you’ll never find, but I remain without a home. Hi, I’m Dodge, a black husky type who came into the Timmins and District Humane Society back in early November 2011, with my buddy Chico. Since then Chico has gone on to find a forever home, leaving me to fend for myself in a world that can sometimes frown upon the big, black dog. I’m a sweet boy, with a great temperament, however, I may not one for a first time owner. A little on the insecure side, my new owners would have to be patient and understanding of the lack of training I has received in my first 2 years. I will require a lot of time and effort in the areas of behavior and socializing. I may be a dog who has issues, sure, but I am is also a sweet boy who loves to play, who understands basic commands and, more importantly, is ready to find a loving home and family where my energy level and strong personality are a perfect fit. It’s been two months that I have called the shelter home, but I’m more than ready to meet someone who will give me a forever home. I LOVE life, I love to run, play and cuddle. I’m a smart boy, who just needs a little time to prove what a great addition to your family I can be!

could you tell me more about his background–what kind of home did he come from. what is his temperment?
He looks like such a nice little guy he just needs some one to love him.
How is Dodge around children?
Even if he has had a lack of training, would it still be possible to train him well?
Would love to help out with Dodge but I don`t have a big enough property to accomodate for another active dog. Hope someone can take him in and provide a great life for him.
