When she first arrived, Harper was too afraid to approach anyone, afraid to trust again. But overtime she has discovered how great both people and other dogs can be and has begun to relax. Now Harper is looking for her forever home.

This sweet girl is in need of a home with a patient family who is willing to let her come out of her shell and become comfortable with her surroundings. A fenced-in yard is a must, as she has the tendency to run when scared. With a little patience and a lot of love Harper is looking to put her fear behind her and find a happy, loving, forever home.

The staff and animals at the Timmins and District Humane Society would once again like to give a HUGE thank you to Hailey Joanisse for giving up her birthday presents in lieu of donations to the humane society.

Now 11-years-old, Haley has helped raise several thousand dollars that goes toward the care of the animals through both birthdays and Christmases.

Besides simply caring about animals, Haley also wants to see these animals find their forever homes and hopes to see an end to animal abuse. She is putting out a challenge to all other youth in the area to give up even just one birthday worth of gifts in order to help her furry friends.

On Thursday, Haley presented humane society representative Phil Levis and dog Harper with more than $740!
