Ella Blue was one of the many dogs rescued from Mile 26 in Wurtel, North of Cochrane, in the spring of 2010. The Timmins Humane Society took in two of these special dogs and went above and beyond to find them new homes. I had already adopted my special girl Honey from this great rescue endeavour but I always had a soft spot for Ella Blue and followed along with her journey.
Ella Blue was eventually adopted and I was thrilled that she would finally be able to have a furever home. When Ella Blue once again appeared on the Timmins Humane Society website in September 2011, I knew that she needed to come live with my family. Ella Blue moved in with us on September 21, 2011. She made quick friends with my other two dogs, the cats and instantly made a loving connection with my 11 year old son. Ella Blue now enjoys daily walks on the bush trails and the occasional romp on the beach at the cottage. She is a very cuddly, loving dog who loves to give kisses and wants only to please. Our circle of furred friends is now complete with the arrival of Ella Blue.

This is such a cute dog and a touching story! I think what you did for this dog is sooo sweet…she was obviously in the need for it. Good luck with her. I’m sure she is a super sweet dog!
